BARRINGTON MAP
The Barrington area is 35 miles northwest
of downtown Chicago, yet readily accessible
to the city by train or car. The communities
are well-situated at the intersection of
the ever-expanding Golden Corridor of the
Northwest Tollway and the rapidly growing
corridor of the Fox River Valley.
Fast, comfortable Metra trains whisk commuters
downtown or to other northwest suburbs along
the Metra/Union Pacific line. Several permit-only
parking lots for Village of Barrington and
BACOG residents are conveniently located
near the Barrington train station.
A network of major roadways links the Barrington
area with the other northwest suburbs and
the greater metropolitan region, including
the Northwest Tollway (I-90); Northwest
Highway (U.S. Route 14); Rand Road (U.S.
Route 12); Illinois Route 59; Lake-Cook
Road; and U.S. Route 53. Two new interchanges
have been constructed on the Northwest Tollway
at Beverly Road and at Route 59 to provide
access to the Sears/Prairie Stone Business
Park.
O'Hare International Airport is just a
short drive from Barrington via the Northwest
Tollway. Several limousine services provide
transportation to O'Hare and Chicago's other
airports.
